Collecting toys has become extremely popular and this is particularly so for diecast vehicles, especially those in mint condition and with boxes. Miller's Collecting Diecast Vehicles is written by West Country auctioneer Peter Rixon, himself a keen collector and whose collection is numbered in the hundreds. He says in the Foreword, "For as long as I can remember I have been surrounded by model cars. There was never any doubt what I wanted for my birthday or from Santa Claus..." His love of the subject comes over clearly in the book. He covers the historical background and gives advice on collecting diecast vehicles, their care and storage, displaying them, cleaning and restoration. There is also a glossary and a directory of useful contacts. The main part of the book is devoted to the diecast vehicles themselves. Divided into two sections, Makers and Vehicle Types and Accessories. In these sections, there are very clear pictures of the models with detailed information like full name, dates of manufacture, size, value and description. This is a lovely book, beautifully designed and produced and sure to delight any dealer or collector with its wealth of information. Quick Facts Title: Miller's
